DIY - After Party Snack Bar

Hillary shares all the info on the DIY - After Party Snack Bar......
In celebration of Halloween and the ridiculous amounts of bite-size candy available in bulk, I thought of a potential new twist on the lovely candy buffets that are popular and definite crowd pleasers. The idea is to serve the childhood snack favorites of yourself and your fiancée.

This can easily be served at the after party and is a relatively inexpensive detail. The sign is simply scrap book letters on fabric, on poster board and framed. For your candy table…make a list of the candy/food you enjoyed as a kid and survey your future spouse. Resources I used are Target , Economy Candy , Walgreens and a few corner stores around my city.
The table set up I learn from a caterer that I worked with awhile back. Using small, medium and large (or tall, grandee, venti) coffee cups are placed all around the table and drape with fabric or a table cloth. You can also use jars, or anything with height. Place plates, boards, or sheets of glass on top of the cups. I covered poster board with fabric for the "platters"

| Swedish fish, starburst and sour patch kids were stacked and speared with toothpicks.

| Fruit Roll ups, Fruit by the foot, Gushers, Nerds, Fun Dips, Dots, Blow Pops, Animal Cracker are just stacked on platters and arranged.

| Goldfish, Chips, Mini Oreos and Nilla Wafers were put in mini cups and cupcake tins.

| Another fun DIY...thanks Hillary for stopping by...you always share such fun projects with us.....Images courtesy of Jess Epstein......xoxoxo

DIY - Boutonniere

Hillary shares all the info on the making of her cute DIY bouts......"These are the boutonnieres I made for my dear friend's wedding. I fought (in a nice way) with the groom over the issue of boutonnieres for months because he didn't want anything girly. Thanks to some inspiration from Janie, I came up with these and he LOVED them.
The star of this boutonniere is the fiddlehead also known as a fern curl. I am lucky enough to have the San Francisco Flower Mart nearby, which is where I got all of the flowers for these. Check around with your local flower mart vendors or florists."
Trim each plant or flower down to about 8 -10 inches in length.

Arrange together in a pleasing manner.
Secure with floral tape, wrapping tightly.

| Cover the floral tape with ribbon. Secure with pin

These will hold for about 24 hours. I made them the night before the wedding and put them in the fridge, the fiddleheads drooped at about 11pm the next day, well after all photos.
Use two pins to secure on a jacket behind the lapel.

| Thanks SO much Hillary...as ALWAYS, you did an AMAZING job...so cute....I love them!
